NBA

The NBA, or National Basketball Association, is a professional basketball league in North America. It is widely recognized as one of the premier basketball leagues in the world. The league was founded in New York City on June 6, 1946, originally as the Basketball Association of America (BAA) before merging with the National Basketball League (NBL) and adopting its current name in 1949.

The NBA consists of 30 teams, divided into two conferences: the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. Each conference is further divided into three divisions. The teams compete in an 82-game regular season followed by a playoff tournament, culminating in the NBA Finals, where the conference champions face off to determine the league champion. The NBA is known for its high level of athleticism and skill, featuring many of the greatest basketball players in history. The league has played a significant role in popularizing basketball globally and has a substantial influence on sports culture, entertainment, and business.
